Soccer Egg

This is Stewart. He is an office dog and he makes even the sunless despair of June Gloom tolerable.

I took this particular photo, however, because it shows him playing with his favorite office toy: a furry toy soccer ball. By virtue of their similar color patterns, textures and the ball’s size relative to Stewart, I would like to think that he believes the ball to be a Stewart egg, with the amount of attention he pays to it resulting from his best efforts to attend to it in hopes that it will one day hatch.
