Especially in light of the Robyn Lively-Blake Lively post from last night, I’m feeling like every time I look into a minor celebrity I find an unusual amount of connections with pop culture notes that I’m far more familiar with.
Previous songs of the week:
- The B-52s, “Funplex”
- Bill Withers, “Who Is He (And What Is He to You?)”
- Bruce Springsteen, “I’m on Fire”
- The Budos Band, “His Girl”
- CSS, “Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex”
- The Fiery Furnaces, “Ex-Guru”
- Jenny Lewis, “Fernando”
- Men at Work, “(Land) Down Under”
- RJD2, “A Beautiful Mine”
- Roy Orbison, “I Drove All Night”
- “Georgy Girl,” by The Seekers
- She & Him, “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?”
Just for funzies, you should rent a DVD called "Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Tribute," in which you will be dazzled by how fucking sexy Anthony Stuart Head is as Frank-N-Furter. Just a concert performance, but a really good one.
ReplyDeleteI’ve seen ol’ Giles doing Frank-N-Furter, and he did indeed do a good job. Oddly, knowing that he’s the brother of Murray Head is more surprising.
