Retrospectacle

As of today, this blog has entered its sixth year of occupying valuable online real estate.

I decided to celebrate this fact with what you see below: a visual index of sorts. Click the thumbnails. They all link back to old posts that have some sort of visual element. Of course, not all of these necessary trace back to good posts — some are really nothing more than the image, while other worthwhile posts had no visual element and therefore aren’t represented here.

Anyway, have a look. Hope you enjoy. And thanks for reading.

Okay, so maybe a lot hasn’t changed since that slow, gray day in Isla Vista when I first started this thing. Notably, it’s now a slow, gray day in Santa Barbara, only a few miles down the road. Between then and now, this blog has only covered the little things, but it’s been a lot of little things, at least.

Six years is five years and 355 days longer than I was able to keep my sad little blog going. Good for you!

  2. Good times. One of these days I'm going to have to get the hang of regularly updating a blog the way that you do.

  3. Congratulations! And this visual index looks dangerously impressive. Here's to six more years, and tons of more sixes of years.

  4. It might take me six years to click on all these links--as if 6 years isn't impressive enough. Go, Drew!

"Yay for your blog turning 6 yrs old! It is in First grade now! How it has grown - right before our eyes! How could I forget about that old sour puss Erin, and her just as evil sidekick , Alexis. They hated me. Anyhow, I remember that frozen chicken masked in peanut sauce. I was such a critic even then! Thaks for the walk down memory lane... Ms. Jordan was sooo cool."

  9. Woah! How did you do this? Do I need Photobucket? Please to help a girl out!

  10. You don't need Photobucket. But Photoshop or some other image-editing program would help. All I did was make a 100-by-100 image of whatever I wanted to include (lots of cropping and resizing) and then uploaded it to Blogger, chose no alignment (as opposed to left-, center-, or right-justified) and then added a link to it, just like you would have added a link to a line of text. It was actually pretty simple, but just tedious because I did too many.
